DIY Recipe Box No. 2

As promised, here is the top secret gift that I was working on for my best fran, Carie! It's the same box (different design) as Alyssa's box from May. Looks like all of my besties get recipe boxes when they get married!  :)

 This was my personal note to Carie telling her how amazing she is!  :)

With some help from a few fellow bridesmaids we threw Carie a wonderful shower today. 

It was a lot of fun and she got a ton of great gifts!

Eff Marry Kill

Now my husband is probably going to KILL me for this (heck, probably for this post in general!), but can I pick Bradley Cooper to EFF and MARRY?! Let's face it, he's smokin hot!!! If not, I'll pick Doug for my EFF and Phil for my MARRY. I could look at THAT every day for the rest of my life! And obviously Stu is my kill. He's a puss.

I miss you!

That's what Evan tells me when I drop him off at daycare each day. 

For such a stinker he really can be a very sweet boy!

And hello Friends!! I've missed YOU! But I'm having a very good summer and am spending every possible second with my boys (or shopping). I am thinking of coming back to blogging on a part time basis though, I just miss you too much while I'm away!  :)  If I'm not spending time with my favorite guys (and you too, Dad!) I've been reading (37 books since the start of 2012!!!) or glued to Netflix watching One Tree Hill - seriously, where has this show been all my life?! Oh yeah, it came out the same year that I met my stud of a husband and I was a little pre-occupied! Anyway, I'm completely obsessed with it. I started watching it at the end of May and will finish season 6 by tonight. That's 130 forty-minute episodes people. INSANE! I don't get excited about TV shows very often, but with the exception of the God awful facial expressions of Brooke Davis, this show has me hooked! Speaking of good TV shows! Breaking Bad started last Sunday. Love it! Actually I'm more excited about the next seasons of Sons of Anarchy (mid September) and Dexter (late October). What have you been watching lately?

I have done some crafting lately - my mother in law and I had a crafting day a couple weeks ago and decorated these little jewelry box/dresser things. I love it and use it for my hair binders, bobby pins and clips. 

And I have also been working on a top secret gift for one of my very good friend's bridal showers next weekend. Which I am hosting. :) The bride and groom's bachelor/bachelorette party is the night before, so I better behave myself! Since it's a co-party my husband will be there and keep an eye on me. I'm sure of it. You'll see this top secret gifts just after she does!  

Onto other news. Earlier this week I won wife of the year when I agreed that my husband could buy a Harley. He's had a motorcycle since he was a senior in high school and has pretty much wanted a HARLEY since then, so I figured it was time. I will admit that the thing is pretty bad ass! Plus, all of my spending habits are forgiven for awhile!  ;)

We also booked our little family trip to Fort Myers Beach in November. I'm counting down! Any restaurant recommendations? We haven't been there for a few years...

We've been going to the beach every weekend and Evan is really starting to love it, so I know he'll be excited to spend a week on the beach this fall.

As far as my shopping addiction goes, I have been oogling over dresses lately. Before this summer I only owned 3 (one of which is my wedding dress!). At last count, I own 13. I don't know what my deal is. Have you found any cute dresses lately??

Lastly, Happy 27th Anniversary to my mom and dad! I am amazed and so proud to call you my parents, you are amazing role models. Congrats!!
