I've seen similar things on Pinterest (here, here and here) and by Reese's, but I wasn't quite sure I loved any of them. The only thing that seemed appropriate for 1-3 year olds was goldfish crackers. Meh. ....... Then it came to me! Annie's brand makes cheddar bunnies. How perfect for an Easter carrot?!? I'm posting this now in case you'd like to make some for your lovie's daycare friends too!
You'll need:
12 inch frosting bag (make sure they are clear and logo-free)
8.5 inch rick-rack ribbon (or something green to tie the bags shut)
And orange food item to fill your bag with
I used Annie's cheddar bunnies. Yum!
Two boxes made 10 carrots.
And green rick-rack. This package had enough to make 11-8.5" strands.
Add crackers to the bag, leaving about 4 empty inches.
Now tie the ribbon (twice) around the top of the crackers. TIGHT! No one likes stale crackers!
Aren't they cute?!
If you make these I would love to see a picture and hear what you used!
