EASTER!

We spent the weekend up north. Evan got to wear his new shirt for his great-grandma and we stopped by the cemetary where my grandparents are buried. We don't get up there as much as we would like, so it was nice to stop.

Evan has been sick the last few days and I haven't gotten very many smiles on camera, but he was in a pretty good mood today while he sat in his chair... you can even see his Easter shirt (the pants have a bunny on the butt!).

Evan got an Easter 'basket' from my parents. We love all the new outfits, toys and Dr. Seuss books! Evan thought it was pretty funny that he was sitting with all his new stuff. Nick and I also got him a couple things for Easter. You'll notice that he's pretty into the football and baseball pacifiers!  :)

Happy Almooooooost Easter!

I took some pictures of Evan this morning in his Easter shirt for 'school' and I went on to tell him what his shirt said (he loves when we talk to him and makes the best facial expressions). He is in a classroom full of girls and I think that makes his shirt all the more funny! He's really silly in the morning... today wasn't any different!

We're headed up north this weekend for turkey hunting. I hope it's nice out. I feel like Minnesota is just starting to prepare for winter, but I think I speak for everyone when I say that we're all ready to be done with it.

Besties, boys and babies...

We went to Sea Life Aquarium (used to be Underwater World) at the Mall of America today with our good friends Carie, Brent and little Paxton. There was a lot to see, I think I liked the jelly fish best. It was neat and I can't wait to take Evan back when he's old enough to know what's going on!

"School Pictures"

We got Evan's school pictures back today that were taken at daycare on March 31 (exactly 3 months old). It still makes me laugh that the same photographer that goes into our local elementary, middle and high schools goes to my son's daycare center! Check 'em out:

Evan is hanging out in his sitter for a little bit before we go see Grammy and Grandpa Jones and show them what we got in the mail today and bring over a few pictures!

The shirt is for Grammy and the onesie is for Evan in remembrance of his Great-Grandma Bellamy who is always watching over us!  :)

And we have to show off the hand-made blanket Evan got in the mail earlier this week from Great-Grandpa Ray and Great-Grandma Sharon... LOVE IT!

Easter is almost here!

We went to the mall tonight and Evan got his picture taken with the Easter bunny. Not much else going on today, but I thought I would share the picture of our little bundle of joy with his furry friend!

What happened to the weekend???

We're back from South Dakota. Our hotel had a water park and he got to go 'swimming'! He really seemed to like it! Here are a few pictures:

 He was in a really good mood this morning, but I did manage to grab a shot of his famous pout lip and a pretty cute smirk. :)

Evan does really well in the car, but we stopped once and I hopped in back to spend some time with him anyways. He was only interested in his toys (as you can see).  :)

Three months goes fast......

I've been back to work for two full weeks now and it's still SO hard to say goodbye to Evan each morning. Luckily I am married to the best man in the whole world and he drops Evan off at daycare AND picks him up! What a guy! The Sunday before I went back to work (March 28) we had Evan's three month pictures taken. He was so cooperative and smiled for just about every picture. So we bought one of each! I am learning quickly that you have to take a ton of pictures because they change every day. While I miss my newborn, he is so much fun now that he has found his voice and has fun with toys. It's only going to get better! I hope to keep up with this blog so you know what we're up to and how we're doing. Facebook just isn't cutting it anymore! During Evan's first week of 'school' (he goes to KinderCare) they had spring pictures. It still makes me laugh, but I'm excited to get them back and will post when we do! We're off to a surprise party in South Dakota in a couple hours and I better get ready. You can't just take an overnight bag once you're a mom.... I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures to post from our trip. In the mean time, here are some pictures from Evan's 3-month shoot:

Oh! I almost forgot about Nick's new truck! We've been looking for a couple weeks because Evan's car seat was difficult to get in and out of Nick's extended cab. So now we have a crew cab and it's pretty sweet! ;)
