Happy Memorial Day and a big thank you to all of our soldiers - past and present.
When we woke up this morning it was 98% humidity... Do I need to say more?? Obviously we were in no rush to get outside and 'enjoy' THAT. Evan got to stay in his pajamas longer than usual and goof around on the floor. He's been really interested in his feet lately and becoming more and more observant. He had a stare down with his musical giraffe this morning after discovering that it moves it's head back and forth while it plays lullaby music (normally it's only played at bedtime in the dark).
The sky eventually cleared up and we headed over to the Berndt's for a BBQ.
Some bags were tossed, naturally.
Evan took a quick cat nap outside.
And then tried a cookie....
Yesterday I was holding him and eating one and he latched onto it and wouldn't let go. He tried getting it to his mouth, without much luck. He tries the same thing with water bottles and cups. I haven't been fast enough to snap a picture of his drinking attempts yet - someday soon.
Even Chase made it into the blog tonight....
This picture reminds me of 'The Beast' from Sandlot.
